The “I” On Stage
Genre: Lecture performance
Date and time: 12 November, 8:30 p.m.
Place: “DNK – space for contemporary dance and performance”
Address: 1 Bulgaria Sq. (against the fountains in the NDK subway)
Duration: 60 minutes
In a lecture following the workshop, She She Pop will talk about acts of speaking on stage. Two members of the performance group will show how in the work of She She Pop the relationship with the public is re-organised. The performers use their autobiographical material to take themselves as an example and to speak as deputies of the audience, they give themselves a set of rules by which they communicate with each other and the audience. How does that change the role of the audience and the idea of the public assembled in the theatre. How does a narration come about and who is the one that says “I” on stage?
