The performance collective She She Pop – represented by Ilia Papatheodorou, Lisa Lucassen and Sebastian Bark – will offer a workshop on choirs, dialogue strategies and talking games within an intensive working week under the rubric of “Being divided”.
In this workshop you can learn artistic strategies for working on texts together in groups or as an ensemble. She She Pop purposely put their workshop into the context of Brecht’s didactic plays because they also deal with a collective of producers. Brecht’s interaction is strongly based on ritualized talking-gestures, repetition of questions, songs and recurring themes. In this way utopian forms of communication can arise on stage.
Together with the participants She She Pop will develop play arrangements, questioning techniques, talking games with the associated exceptions and tasks that will be solved visibly and live on the open stage.
Based on the individual, on the group, and on Brecht’s idea of a theatre without audience, we will search for formats which show the active participation of the performers. The participants, whether they are actors or distant from stage, will learn how to improvise within defined and tested rules and how to make an own and collective decision on stage.
REGISTRATION IN ADVANCE IS REQUIRED (CV AND MOTIVATIONAL LETTER) WHICH YOU HAVE TO SEND TO firstname.lastname@example.org
She She Pop Workshop is carried out with the support of Goethe-Institut Bulgaria.
